Department of Mymensingh in north of Bangladesh.The latest division of the country declared by the government of Bangladesh. It is located in the area of 10,569 square kilometers. The geographical area of Mymensingh is called Madhupurgor land. There are 4 districts in this division namely - Jamalpur, Sherpur, Mymensingh and Netrokona.
The first declared district of Independent Bangladesh after liberation war - Jamalpur. Among the 11 sectors of the War of Liberation, Mymensingh was in Sector 11. Literacy rate among the division is 32.78%.
TOURIST SPOTS
The sights of this division are not included in Bangladesh tourism center but they will add beauty to your eyes.
Jamalpur - Jamuna Fertilizer Factory (Is established in 1991).
Sherpur - Glasshole and Silica field.
Mymensingh - Dorirampur (Place of memory of national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam of Bangladesh), Garo hill (The largest mountain in Bangladesh), Bijoypur (The only place in Bangladesh that is rich in Chinese soil), Bangladesh Agriculture University.
Netrokona - Khojar lake, Susong Durgapur, Komol Rani lake.
