                                                      Rangpur ABOUT Department of Rangpur in north-west of Bangladesh It is located in the area of 16317 square kilometers. The geography of Rangpur region includes the Teras region of Plaisostein. There are 8 districts in this division namely - Lalmonirhat, Nilphamari , Rangpur, Kurigram, Dinajpur , Thakurgaon, Panchagar and Gaibandha .  Among the 11 sectors of the War of Liberation, Rangpur was in Sector 6. Literacy rate among the districts is 33.85%. The country's first organic tea garden was established in 'Kazi & Kazi' tea estates in Panchagarh in 2000. The latest division of the country declared by the government of Bangladesh.  It is located in the area of 10,569 square kilometers.  The geographical area of Mymensingh is called Madhupurgor land.  There are 4 districts in this division namely -   Jamalpur, Sherpur, Mymensingh  and Netrokona .  The first declared district of Independent Bangladesh after liberation war - Jamalpur.  Among the 11 sectors of the War of Liberation, Mymensingh was in Sector 11.
