ABOUT

Department of Rangpur in north-west of Bangladesh It is located in the area of 16317 square kilometers. The geography of Rangpur region includes the Teras region of Plaisostein. There are 8 districts in this division namely - Lalmonirhat, Nilphamari, Rangpur, Kurigram, Dinajpur, Thakurgaon, Panchagar and GaibandhaAmong the 11 sectors of the War of Liberation, Rangpur was in Sector 6. Literacy rate among the districts is 33.85%. The country's first organic tea garden was established in 'Kazi & Kazi' tea estates in Panchagarh in 2000. There are about 163 tea gardens here. Dinajpur district is located at the highest level (37.50m) in the Rangpur division.The Rangpur Division is called a drought prone area.

NILPHAMARI - Biratdighi ( Nilsagor), Nilkuthi, Tista Barrage (The Tista Barrage started in 1979 and that of the irrigation canals in 1984 and was completed in 1997 - 1990.)
 
Tea Garden
DINAJPUR - Kantajew Temple (it is a late - medieval Hindu temple in Dinajpur, Bangladesh. The Kantajew Temple is one of the most magnificent religious edifices belonging to the 18th century.) , Shalban Bihara, Ramsagordighi.

PANCHAGAR - Banglabandha, Rocks Museum, Baro Awoaliar Majar,. Zero Point.
